About Jim

I have been a photographer for most of my life. It's seems like magic to be able to freeze a moment in time and hold it in your hands or share it with others. Too often, in our busy lives, we don't take the time to recognize the beauty that lies around us. I like to observe and capture the beauty that often gets overlooked. Perhaps it's the way the dappled light plays off of a bench or the side of a building. Maybe it's the way the steeple of a church rise proudly over the surrounding structures. Or maybe it's the riot of colors that nature provides for our enjoyment. Whatever it is that I discovered, you can share it along with me. It's that same sense of discovery that drives me to explore newer avenues of expression. As a digital artist I sometimes see an image and know, instinctively, that it is going to work. Other times an image presents itself in a different fashion afterwards. Both paths represent the process of visual discovery that is at the core of my work.
